Glad to know you are a satisfied with what I did for you.
This is the only way to do it, (even if I didn't do it for you). There is no
question that your MC is WAY better than even a new one. Joe tells me that
many people send him BRAND NEW MC's to be sleeved. I can tell you from
the many I have done that this is the only way to go. Also, as you found out
by closer examination of what you had, amateurs trying to rebuild this
particular MC do more damage to them and will need to replace them again
before long.
To everyone reading this...
There is more to rebuilding these than simply honing and putting in new
seals. This will not solve all your problems and you will almost certainly create
problems more when you disassemble it. Unless you are extremely careful
disassemblling it and know what to look for, you will be repeating the process.
To Rick:
You need to replace all your flexible hoses before you pull your MC. The
problem you describe is typical of collapsed rubber hoses. There are three
(two in front and one the the rear tee). If your MC does not leak, DON'T mess
with it!
