Wow was that e relief, we worked at it all evening
yesterday until very late, at one moment we thought
that we would have to pull the engine.
A tap was the solution, we managed to thread it in a
good long way as it was only bearly big enough and it
took some real pulling with a grip wise plier, but it
finaly came.
It was badly scared with several long deep markes all the
way lenghtwise.
And this bugger was made from aluminium.
I havnt had time to run the engine good and warm yet
with the new steel ball but when starting it up and taking it
for a short spin we had some fantastic oil pressure. When
reving it up we got 90-100 and it was still 60 at idle when
we finished the short trip, i may have to shorten the spring
a little to get the pressure down slightly if it stays this high.
I will take it for a good drive today after work and see how it
behaves when warm.

All the ones I have seen have been made of steel. I think that Aluminium
would be far too soft and would probably pit and mark very badly. I might
even go out of shape. (the reason why you can't get it out?)
