The SU pump pressure is pre-set (though
it may be adjustable...I dunno!:) and comes "fully compatible" for SU
carbs.
This having been said, it's possible to get
a "bad" new part....a "lemon", if you will.
Test it with a fuel pressure gauge. If it's
putting out more than 3.5-4.0 psi, it's
got a problem.
