Yup, Jim, lay on your back and look up at the timing cover - that's
where the indicator is. It can be done by one person if you keep
the distributor clamp snug and move it in very small increments.
You may find that the mark "floats" all over the place (commonly
known as "timing scatter" in an engine with some miles on it). Just
pick the mid point of the scatter for your timing point.
