I can only suggest that you look on the internet and find out where the most local midgesprite and MG Car Club meetings are (oh yes, the MG owners club too) and go along and have a look at some of the cars. You will probably find enthusiasts who live near to you who would be only too willing to help. All those who I have met over the years have been very friendly/helpful and willing to share their knowledge of these cars with fellow enthusiasts. You do not need to know much - just be willing to learn. Don't be afraid of being hands on. When you do have your car, start on the small jobs and work up. My daughter knew nothing about cars, but with a little advice, undertook full servicing and has even removed an engine and rebuilt it. Oh yes, it worked. Now, if she has to use a garage, she knows what she is talking about and they can't pull the wool over her eyes. You may not want to get into things this deep, but it can be done. All it takes is interest, a few decent workshop manuals and some advice when necessary - but that is what this list is for! Just don't be put off. A World of fun and frienship awaits!
