Well as I don't have the correct breathing equipment for two-pack, yeah
it got to be cellulose!
And yes, I also remember the person saying about lots of thin coats,
but he was doing a motorcycle - somewhat smaller than a car! and I don't
intend to spend the rest of my life rubbing down a Midget and spraying it!
And you're right, its not the best weather for spraying top coats, and yes I've
already had some 'blooming' but I have no choice, I have to get it done, I
simply cannot afford to wait until the weather is better, that could take
months. I've still got to wait at least 5 weeks for the paint to harden so I can
cut and polish it. My target was to have the car 90% complete by the end of
the year, I may still do it :)
It's already taken me months to get the bodywork to the stage where I can
even start putting on top coat, and I've been fortunate, the last couple of days
the temperature rose sharply to mid 50's which is 'just' about ok to spray top
coat.
I guess I'll just have to judge it by eye. I'll put on 3 coats of 50/50
paint/thinners and then two more coats of 30/70 paint/thinners, with a rub
down inbetween.
I must say though, it's beginning to look preeeeeeeeetty good :)
