Quite correct; and you're about the only person to actually 'see' the point I'm
trying to make, which is whatever colours were applied in Australia bear no
relevance whatsoever to colours applied elsewhere in the world, because
those colours were only used in the 'Australian' market.
You could pretty much claim that Frogeyes were painted green with yellow
spots in Australia - no-one else in the world would really care.
But to claim that BRG is an 'official' Frogeye paint scheme is wrong for three
reasons, firstly because if it was used in Australia how is that relevant to a
LHD drive car in the USA? Secondly, where's the documentary evidence to
support that it was used as a colour in Australia? The only evidence I can see
is in Terry Horlers book, and that does not support it.
Thirdly if the Australian colours were meant to be named after 'racing
circuits' which much of the evidence does support - where's British Racing
Green racing circuit? Doesn't makes sense does it.
The real fact is - they painted the cars in Australia whatever they felt like -
and there is no documentary evidence to support the colours they used.
