Guys,

I agree. I was one of the lucky ones in that my company wanted me over here
and I have no intention of going back.
I am now married to a citizen so that does make things easier but dealing
with the BICS (New name for INS) is a real pain.
All is not lost however H1 visas are available and get issued, also the
green card lottery is worth entering.
I had a friend from England who entered the lottery seven times :-) He is a
citizen here now.
It takes time but if you have the skills an employer will eventually pick
you up here and sponsor a visa.

For $450,000 you can live in a mansion here in Houston. My $160K house is
2500sqft, 4 bedroom, =BC acre with a pool
