The situation is a little bit clouded by your choice of seat colours. If my memory serves me correctly, you have the feeling that the car left the factory with a red interior.
If that was the case, according to Horler, the change point was HAN8-55625.
If on the other hand it was black, then the change point would be HAN8-55373.
As you see, these neatly bracket your car.
Quite a few people changed from red to black in the late sixties - early seventies, because it was a much more trendy colour. If this is the case, then the seats etc probably all came from a later 'donor' (inadvertetly modified?)car, hence the change in seat pattern.
