Hi, Snakeperson...
The stock (rubber) diaphragm is "good" if
you can remove the filtered (containing a "graduated" orifice) cap and
the
idle increases about 200rpm.
The first sign (usually) of a worn out
rubber diaphragm is, of course, an
exhaust suddenly smoking and an enigne
suddenly using a helluva lot of oil, both
for apparent no good reason at all.
Not familiar with the "quacking duck"
type of PVC valve! :)
