Greetings:
I have a 1960 Bugeye Sprite which I recently purchased and am going
through to make sure everything's up to snuff. Of note is that it has
wire knockoff wheels. I took off the rear tires and brake drum to
find that oil had leaked into the drums, contaminating the shoes and
necessitating their replacement.
While the hub has been off, I went ahead and replaced the bearing and
I'm just about to the point of buttoning everything back up. I got a
new o-ring and paper gasket for the hub as well. As I understand that
the paper gasket leaks like a sieve, I was wondering if there were any
recommended liquid gasket products out there that I might fortify the
paper gasket with to obtain an actaully decent seal.
Suggestions?
