LOL...:):) Margaret...
I am not talking about the unawareness
of childhood which allows a relatively
carefree existence my good lady.
I am talking about a mature adult with
a keen sense of situational awareness
who works with the positive while being
totally knowledgeable with respect to the negative, yet has lived a
carefree existence (as an adult) for the last 30
years!! :)
It is not a matter of getting anything
off my chest. You asked an intelligent
question...you got an intelligent answer
though you may not like what you hear! :)
It is part of the reality that
surrounds me today. Being a happy go
lucky sort of guy doesn't mean avoiding
the negative which is obviously present
to a greater extent (in our country anyway) since "9/11" and
"Enron"...sorta
a "double whammy" to our masses in
general, though your's truly
fortunately didn't get damaged by either,
personally. Good "timing" is all that saved
me in both cases...just blind luck!!
I have a buddy who retired at the "right
time" and got out of the market (more or
less) at the "right time" as well....simply
lucky...circumstances/timing.
So I personally am doing OK....but a lot
of my brothers and sisters (in a national
or universal sense) are not...and I am
keenly aware of it, just as I am keenly
aware of the source of our problems here
in my beloved country and "our problem"
in dealing with "symptoms" rather than
"causes", along with an "instant expectation" of "immediate results" as
thought it's all a computer game.
Believe me...in consideration of government complacency and
irresponsbility since at least 1963/4, we've earned this....I kid you
not.
Me? I just got a new A-frame assembly
and am preparing to tidy up the front end
a bit on my "little toy"! Been wondering
where a certain muffled thunking sound
has been coming from, from time to time.
I tell you...rust isn't always
a bad thing...sometimes it "identifies"
hairline cracks in painted metal which can not so easily be detected
otherwise.
Damn painted (flat black) A-frame
was cracked (right through...lengthwise!)
along both front and rear "travels".....
amazing!! LH one is fine....one must be
original British quality and the other, of
Far East origin. Both were installed at
the same time...very strange. :)
Anyway, MOSS says they are not handling Far East A-frames anymore
(or other "important" parts of such ilk)...
too many failures and complaints on
quality they tell me. Of course, no one
really knows where some British concerns
might be getting their parts today!! :)
