If you're re-fitting the RB's I really see no point (or benefit) of fitting 1275
springs, there's a lot more to the ride height than simply changing the
springs.
Yes, that's what I mean by 'half wings'. I got away with only fitting the small
repair sections to the lower 12 inches of the area behind the rear wheel. I
debated at length about whether to fit 'half wings' or the smaller repair
sections and decided in the end that the 'inner wings' weren't that bad and as
most of the rear wing was in pretty good condition apart from the lower 12
inches as mentioned, I decided to fit the smaller repair sections.
This meant I wasn't able to repair the inner wings with a proper 'repair
section' (which are surprisingly expensive btw) and meant I had to fabricate
the lower 12 inches of the inner wing where it comes down and butts up to
the 'luggage extension'. It was quite tricky to understand what the shape of
that lower 'inner wing' was and what the end of it lookd like, so I just had to
work it out the best I could.
So on balance, there's not a lot in it really and I think doing it the way you're
doing it would in fact be easier.
Strangely enough, most of my panels originally came from Spridgebits as
well, also around 92.
