Thanks Alan
And thank you Robert B. Houston and Rex Urban for your replies.
I will admit. My knowledge of 60s British cars is somewhat limited. I mainly
mess with 80s-90s RWD Imports like the MR2, Supra, 240SX, 300ZX, etc.. I
dont know why I didnt see that the Silver Sprite was a Frogeye being that
the rear end is the only part I like on the Frogeye. I think I need glasses.
Anyway... Is it that hard to take the rear panels of a Frogeye and install
them on a Spridget? Is it a mater of traditionally replacing the rear panels
or does the rear of the Spridget need to be seriously modified to adapt the
Frogeye rear end? My brother is a very accomplished body man/welder and Iv
been a mechanic/fabricator for 10 years. We are leasing a 18000sf shop and
have quit a selection of tools and equipment. I believe we could accomplish
this conversion. The important factor is cost and time. If the cost for the
panels are to much and or serious modification of the rear of my Midget
(which I purchased for $250) is required then I would rather install a
Sebring nose and live with the stock rear. As for the hardtop, I actually
prefer the strait roadster look on the Spridge.
