In my junkyard explorations today I came across an Austin car that I
had never seen before. It was rear drive hardtop coupe, had a 948
in the cab with a single downdraft carb. Drum brakes all round,
most of the markings and nameplates were missing. It looked like an
Austin Amercia or Morris 1100, but was rear drive. (c. 1964?) It had
a faded rear deck lid that appeared to be A40. I was interested in
the rear ratio.... hmmmm?
