Whatever! I didn't leave the bugey group, had too many people write
to me and tell me to just put up with you guys. Some people have an
interest in the cars and what others are doing to them, other are
just jealous.
About luxury cars, doing a nice job on my seats, adding air bags to
the suspension and triangulating the rear end not only makes for a
great ride and great looks, but makes it handle unbelievably well.
Read up on air bags, they allow the suspension to sway-bar correct
through the turns better than springs. F=KX. The airbags expand,
giving a more controlled force and allowing the sway bar to compenste
better. The K function changes with airbag expansion is why. The
triangulation allows for a fully independent motion on both sides
while containing the side to side movement dead on. Kinda like a
Watts Link, yet better. Pannard rods do the job, but do have a swing
to them. I modified my 54 Chevy Sedan Delivery this way and made it
handle unbelievably well. I'm looking forward to driving the bugeye
with this suspension upgrade, I'll post the results along with
pictures of the setup.
