Rick,
When I went to install the Frontline tube shock conversion, I had
to totally re-pipe the front brake lines from the MC to the
calipers. (Frontline forgets to mention that small detail.) So I
figured while I was at it, I would put in the LL. I do expect to run
at the drags eventually and use it. It's good for laughs now - a
couple of years ago at the Syracuse Nationals, Third Rail was a big
crowd pleaser in an impromtu burnout contest in one of the hotel
parking lots.
Wheels - no, I have 14 x 6 and 14 x 7 Panasports for the front and
rear. http://www.panasport.com/fs14.html
I am going to sell my 13" Cosmics after this season when I get the
new rearend in. I like the Cosmics and looked for some 14s for an
MGB to use (different bolt pattern though) but could not find any.
They have been out of production for a while.
You should probably pick your rear wheels and tires before having
your rearend narrowed so everything can be matched up. Otherwise you
could get in a bind by being forced to a wheel backspacing you can't
find out there. The selection of nice 13" and 14" rims in 6" - 7"
width is not good. Even if you had some crap steel wheels welded up
with a width and backspacing you know you can get, that would be good
for fitting.
