Hello Folks
Thought I would toss this out for a little help.
I have a 1971 MG Midget 1275
I got in last night to take a drive and she really had a hard time having
any get up and go.
(she would go about 70 but it had a hard time to get there)
So I checked the oil in the dash pots that was good
So then I checked to see if maybe the choke was stuck open looks good
So then I took a look at the fuel filter
I took it off and blow it out then I had my wife turn the key to see if
there was any gas getting to the carbs.
Gas came flowing out of the line in a steady stream.
( I was getting a little gas when the filter was hooked up but it was not
filling the filter up. just a little trickily)
So then I hooked up the line directly to the carbs and took her for a spin
still the same.
I also checked my air fillers to see if anything was miss alined but that
look good to.
So I am at my end of what I can checked.
Does anybody have any good ideas whats next?
My next plan is to add a gas additive and clean the carbs to see if this
makes a difference.
Thanks for the help
Jason
