What color are the plugs after you pull
them out after a hard run? They should
be chocolate brown (insulators) with the
shell tinged carbon (dry) black, assuming
"correct" timing, mixture and cooling system in reasonably good shape,
etc.
And what compression ratio are you
running, BTW? On what octane #?
