Hi, "Cheers"...
Let's get our parts straight, first. I am a
little confused by your terms and the way
they are used.
The PCV system on the '67 is very simple.
It consists of a factory diaphragm type PC
V valve mounted on (in) the inlet manifold, which is fed via a flexible
hose from the
vapor/oil separator (aka "flame arrestor)
mounted on the timing chain cover on the
front of the engine. It is a "graduated
orifice" (diameter of hole specific to the
application). It is an "outlet".
The "inlet" consists of a graduated orifice
embedded within the filtered oil filler cap
which is used with this application. As can
be seen, it's "measured flow through"
system.
When the diaphragm in the PCV valve becomes "porous" (which it does in
time)
the "measured" flow rate becomes upset...
and blue smoke begins to show up in the
exhaust. The filtered oil cap should also
be replaced once in a while as this too,
can clog up.
If this is not your set-up, then maybe
the car is a '67 but the engine is not?
