I am very afraid to post any pix you could see. The car is in three colors of paint plus the original Brookland green. (Seeing what looked best, ya know). I have lowered the front with 1275 springs but not the rear just yet. I'm running American Racing Mags 5.5 inches with 165 x 70 tires. I've cut off the front bumper supports and sold off the rubber bumpers. The interior is new and pretty well sorted out.
McGee runs and drives well except for my often mentioned clutch problem. I will be pulling the engine this spring to replace the clutch. I just hope it's old springs and not something really nasty. The motor is a freshly rebuilt '78 I purchased unseen from a fellow in Macon, Georgia. The price was right and it seems to run just fine.
WIth the motor out I plan to install a pair of SU's and manifold from a 1300 Spitfire to make the little beast breath better. Once that and the clutch is sorted out it should be beauty time for the paint job. Will probably have to use some kind of front flairs and finish off the area below the tail lights. I may have to do something to the square top rear openings depending on what evening out he ride height causes in the way of interference.
As you can probably tell my approach to doing the car is probably the opposite side of the spectrum from yours. The short version is that what I didn't like, I changed. Arrogant amn't I? FWIW-The paint job will be a dark blue metallic with a Union Jack on the bonnet. If I don't end up liking it maybe Austin Powers will take it off my hands.
