I will keep you posted. I am "down" to about 200 lbs but am over 6'
tall. Ingress and egress is not a problem, but the movement of my
foot from gas to brake is difficult. It would be impossible if my
feet were bigger than size 8! Your idea about "relaxing the webbing
underneath is excellent. I will give it a try. I plan on adding to
the metal clips so I can tighten them as needed in the future.
Talked with a friend of mine who does a lot of restoration work. He
explained the different density foams available. He offered to get
some less dense foam and "trim" it to conform to the covers. He
cautioned me not to just shave the bottom of the foam, as I was
thinking about doing. Guess what irritates me a bit about this is
this isn't a problem I should have to resolve. Is it too much to ask
that the proper faom density be used??? I guess so.....
Yes Jim, I would suggest you hold off on rebuilding your seats until
I fashion a remedy. If you want to know what it is like, take three
large phone books, put them on your seat, and try to drive the car.
Given how cramped our quarters are, it is amazing how much difference
a few inches of seat height makes.
