Hi Kevin
Welcome to the group.
This group is for all 'Spridgets' and many here are Frog owners,
but you may like to try the other group specifically for Frogs -

Yeah I don't know why those nutty Americans call them Bugeye's
either ;)
You may also want to check out Terry Horler's excellent book -
Original Sprite and Midget, published by Bay View Books,
ISBN 1-870979-45-1
This book has an excellent restorers section on Frogeyes and
many of your answers will be found there.
I'm not an expert on Frog's - there's many here you know a lot
more about them than I do, but as guidance -
The engine was painted Austin/BMC Green.
The intake manifold is not painted.
The carbs are not painted and not polished either
Not sure about the fuel pump
Distributor is not painted
The gearbox is painted the same colour as the engine
Not sure about the oil filter head
The thermostat housing I believe is painted in the engine colour
(I may be thinking of the Water pump here though)
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong (they usually do!)
