Hi all Looking for some advise. Have a '79 Stock Midget with dual line brake system. Have done work to it in the past year including: Rebuilt master, new rubber hoses all around, good linings, adjusted with nice firm pedal, NO leaks. Brakes seem fine then suddenly pedal goes to the floor with no brakes at all. This happened a few months back so I rebled the system and we have started to drive the car on a more regular basis now. Drove car about 100 mi before it happened. Pedal comes back up to normal with 1 or... MORE
whoa neherman, I call you that because you don't sign your e-mails. I am indeed a Bush supporter. Until fairly recently I was a staunch Democrat, but I was driven out of the party by the moral decay, aka Slick Willy, and their lack of any ability to field a decent candidate. I wont get into a lenthy debate here over Republican vs Democrat, but I do also take issue with your slam of the National Guard. Spoken like someone who never served or has no clue as to the history of the National Guard. Robert Houston Texan in... MORE
Hillary isn't gonna be second-in-command to Kerry (IMHO)......because if he fu-ks up......????? See what I mean. She's too smart to be that closely associated, "in the event" and I have to admit, Kerry has his good points but he's no strong candidate, per se. I think Kerry is the best they have to offer at this point in time given global circumstances. The only way (IMHO) he'll get in is if The Shrub REALLY fu-ks up (which is certainly possible given the unsettled times both here and abroad). Could I be wrong? Sure!! :):) Cap'n. I just want everyone to remember I didn't start this. You can blame Paul and David. Soldier's Letter to Kerry Dear Senator Kerry: Since it has become clear that you will probably be the Democratic nominee for President, I have spent a great deal of time researching your war record and your record as a professional politician. The reason is simple, you aspire to be the Commander in Chief who would lead my sons and their fellow soldiers in time of war. I simply wanted to know if you possess the necessary qualifications to be trusted in that respect.... MORE

Nonna For those of you who are not Italian, Nonna is grandmother! A young girl was going on a date. Her nonna said: "Sit here and let me tell you about those young boys. I know Frontline do some alloy panels, but I think it's just bonnet, boot and doors, not wings. You might need to get some specially made, if you really must have them. Talk to the rich racing guys! Not sure where is best for steel wings, but the BMH site shows the suggested price is 240. http://www.bmh-ltd.co.uk/bmhspa.html is a list of the BMH specialists. Regards David "David Jacobs" 32655... I do this too, however I use the appropriate sized "Socket Punch". They are common tools that can be found in any mechanics tool box. I have always did this to ensure that they always seat. Also, prior to reassembly, I always make sure that all of those little grooves that the spring clips seat in ar e REALLY clean. A scribe does wonders here. Another thing, never reuse the ol d spring clips. These are subject to wear always. Matt 76 Midget (in the process of being sold to a person in Brazil) "Matthew Pfeil" 32650... MORE

Oh... You're right across the Sound from me (Stamford, CT), Mike. So I guess I know the temperatures you're running in, eh? :) Well, you've definitely got the right oil for the season for sure, and an excellent brand at that. And you haven't got an oil cooler thermo- stat (oilstat) problem 'cause you've got no oil cooler, so we'll forgoet about this as a possible source for low pressure. Guys... Aldon (UK) has about every Series A engine tune ever thought up for these motors...in their computers. Their computers know more or less exactly what advance curve will go with your state of tune. It may not be spot on, but it'll be awfully damn close! Bearing in mind this will be a more or less once in a lifetime expense, you might want to email them and see what they can do for you? "Generic" Aldons ("Reds" or "Yellows") are probably what Moss (and others) are carrying and selling in terms of a "generic" curve fors both... MORE
