Terry My god, someone actually agree's with me! My sentiments exactly. As you say 'economic disaster' and the reason British Airways axed it is so =3D=0D ley because it was 'uneconomic' to run. As a British Airways Shareholder, I'm g =3D=0D lad they finally saw sense and got rid of the noisey 'financial blackhole' so t =3D=0D hey can focus their efforts on returning to profitability and actually start pa =3D=0D ying their shareholders some dividends again, instead of using 'our' money to underwrite and perpetuate a loss making cause for the sole enjoyment of people with more money... It seems a bunch of folks are spending a lot of time welding up old rusty tubs out there. Fisher and Elizabeth Jones in Comfort TX have a number of almost rust free tubs they would I think be willing to part with. There range from Bugeye to RB. Hi Bob, If you go to the home page of this list there are four links to the Midget & Sprite Club website. The next time I'm in Southern California I'll be sure to look you all up (although the last time I was there was 1982)! Gary L 1958 Frogeye (mostly) London, England "Gary Lazarus" 26988... MORE
Jim, That sounds like a great time. Count me in!!! I sort of have dropped the ball at having a second daytime get together of our local group. Some how we all seem to get busy around the holidays. I will try to be better in the new year. Cheers, Bob in San Diego Dave and all, I don't think I am a member of MASC any more. I think I joined some 3 or 4 years ago but do not remember ever getting a renewal notice, so it just fell through the cracks. I would consider joining again... MORE
Cap'n No, LBC was right - Little British Concorde : ) Actually I think it was a joint effort between France and England, so it could well be termed Le (or La) British Concorde ! Anyway as I said, I for one am delighted it's finally going to be put to rest. As I mentioned I live right under its flight path (and let me tell you, although you probably already know) that plane is seriously noisy. So much so that when it went over, if you were on the phone you had to stop talking, or if you... MORE
Dave and all, I don't think I am a member of MASC any more. I think I joined some 3 or 4 years ago but do not remember ever getting a renewal notice, so it just fell through the cracks. I would consider joining again if it helps the club and the list. I value the list a lot and I would enjoy seeing Mascot. If someone would send me a entry form and let me know how much it is I will put it on my list of things to buy myself for Xmas. Dave was nice enough... MORE
G'day Nigel, Chris et al All the plated hardware (nuts, bolt, as well as the props) were plated in Cadmium. If you like, Cad plated. And let me support Chris - DO NOT USE COPPER FOR BRAKE LINES. Use only steel tubing manufactured for the purpose. avagoodday Colin "Colin@SpriteParts" 26939... MORE
Jeremy Sorry, not relevant to your question, but I saw one of Concordes last flights a week or so ago. It went overhead on its way to the Museum in New York. Personally I'm not sad at all its ended, nice plane, nice technology, bloody awful noise, speciaally if you were unfortunate enough to live under its flight path, as I was. Firstly apologies to anyone who may feel I'm sticking my nose in where it's not supposed to be. This only my personal opinion and it's not my intention to post anything contentious. As a relatively new (3 years) member of the Midget & Sprite Club. I was thinking that there must be many members of this list who aren't members of the Midget and Sprite Club. While it's not a pre-requisit (sorry if the spelling is wrong, I'm not used to big words) to be a member of both. I personally feel it's nice to belong to the only... MORE
One idea I have seen with this is to remove the locating pin from the cylin der and tap out the hole. A small screw can then be used into the cylinder. _____ From: amukdigiphoto [mailto: amukdigiphoto@... ] Sent: Sunday, November 23, 2003 5:52 PM To: midgetsprite@yahoogroups.com Subject: [midgetsprite] Re: Rear brake assembly David Thanks, I didn't but it's a very good idea, and I'll certainly try it next time. Lori, As other members will tell, if it ran it would be worth more. Need to check under the hood on the passenger side of the engine for a tag that will start with a 10 or 12. Which is it? Did it run when parked? How many years parked? Inside or out? Can you e-mail me photos? Frenchww@... . Thanks, Bill French Hilton Head, SC frenchww@... 26911... MORE

I took a 800 mile ride this weekend, to take my Bugeye to Rivergate shop, after much number crunching, it came out that if I had them build an engine for me, and rebuild a 5 speed, the shipping on that would eat me alive, so in my thought I asked what it would be if I brought my car to them to have the work done, of course I know it will take another trip down there, to pick up car, but... the shipping would have been more expensive than the labor they charged to install, so that's...
