David, Aha! I think you've got something. Yes, I think this must be my setup. I suppose since I've already purchased the Sprite hoses I may as well buy the banjo bolts and washers from Victoria British or Mo$$ (I like it - very appropriate!). Thanks for your help in clearing this up. Ken "kcarroll_184" 32899... MORE
Ken, you don't say where you are, but on the balance of probabilities, I'm going to guess (NOT assume!) at the US. The usual disc brake conversion on UK Minors is based on Marina parts. Since these were also sold in the States, it's possible that you have these calipers, but I don't know the part numbers. Is the hole in the caliper the same diameter as the hole in the banjo fitting? If so, it might be simpler to get hold of a couple of Spridget banjo bolt than to keep buying mystery hoses to try! Regards David... MORE
I would like to introduce myself to the group. My name is Carl, just purchesed a 1964 AH sprite Mk II han 7. I have rebuilt-restored 5 American muscle cars over the last 10 years, but this will be my first UK car. I have only had this car a few weeks but already love it. Very simple and strate forward. Bob Nice to hear from you. Photo attached My MK III Sprite is the one in the gazebo, the event took place at Hermitage Hall near Downham Market Norfolk, on the original medieval pilgrims way to Walsingham. You may have to blow the photo up a bit to see the detail since it is in panoramic format, the non-Spridget on the right hand end is a Le Mans replica MGA, the red car about halfway between my Sprite and the MGA is an Arkley. The Arkley is built by stripping the outer panels from a Spridget and replacing them... MORE

Robert Thanks for your interest, it was a good day, the picture was taken at Hermitage hall near Downham Market Norfolk on the original mediaeval pilgrims way to Walsingham. The photo shows 14 of the Spridgets and a Le Mans replica MGA, you may have to blow it up a little to see the detail, my MK III Sprite is the one in the Gazebo. The event took place on the last day of May which is spring bank holiday in England. The iris blue frogeye on the left hand end of the line belongs to Diane who's husband... MORE
Margaret The gathering -was a reasonable success with a turnout of 16 topless Spridgets on a brilliant hot and sunny day. I think we had almost every MK and model including a supercharged Arkley, a Sebring Sprite, an isle of white frogeye, the standard frogeye featured in July's Practical classics, a K series car and a five speed conversion. It was a great day enjoyed by all, it is a pity a few more of you couldn't make it (maybe next year). I think all those who attended were Midget and Sprite club members and the event is described... Well I found a big British Car yesterday. 1961 Jaguar sedan...350 Chevy engine. Looks pretty good from the street as I drove by. They are asking $11,995.00 but are negotiable. Hi All, I have just realised that there was no mention of the gathering at Downham Market on Bank Holiday Monday (May). How did it go? Did many turn up? More to the point ANY PHOTOS? Hi Jens, I've never heard of placing it there. I have no idea why they're saying th at. Ask them to carefully explain why when all newer cars seem to have the resistance on the supply side. Many British cars came with resistance wire on the supply side. That's not the ground side!! Why don't you simply go out and buy a coil with a built in resistor? All t his conversation has been going on for ages and nothing but conflicting sto ries and no resolution. Give me your address and I'll gift you a coil and get... MORE

It is election day in Canada today. For some real excitment, tune in. It may be all over by noon by what happens in the east. However us in BC hope to show a little clout later in the day. We'll be able to know what is happening in the east starting at 3:30 our time. With polls closing at 7:00 we could hold the key to how the government looks at the end of the day. Here's hoping. A tip from an IT friend is to create an e-mail address just for the purpose of advertising or buying on the internet, or even for browsing un-known territory. That way, if there are some crazy people out there ready to 'spike' you computer, they will have very little chance, as you would create different addresses from time to time, either deleting the others or just not using them! I just want everyone to remember I didn't start this. You can blame Paul and David. I simply wanted to know if you possess the necessary qualifications to be trusted in that respect.... MORE
