Jim, I have a '59 that was old English White WT.3, with Cherry Red interior. Now Competition Yellow with Black interior. I can send you a piece of the orig. Cherry Red interior that you can match to the Moss seat kits if you wish. The Cherry Red exterior was RD.4 and came with the Cherry Red seats with White piping. The door seals and mats were also Cherry Red according to my " BMC Body Exterior and Main Trim Colour Combinations." Hi I looked in my book by Porter, " 'Frogeye' Sprite - Super Profile" and on page 50 there are two pictures of a cherry red Frog with a red interior. The interior seems to match the paint well. Sorry Guys but you only have to ask yourself one question "who originated the English language" since the originator's version is by definition correct. Tip the tow truck driver!? Maybe thats why they take so long to come out after that first time. My God does everyone expect to be tipped now!? What happened to wanting to do a good job and your wages was your compensation? I know waiters and wiatresses get minimum wage and live off of tips but this seems excessive. Typicaly a gargae in the UK will charge between 30 and 90 GBP per hour as a labour rate. The range will relate to what type of garage it is, where it is located, and what make of car it deals with. One of my earlier cars was a 1932 Rolls Royce with Mulliner coachwork At the back was a Boot with a lid that could be opened . Fastened to the outside of the boot was a large fold down luggage rack. On the luggage rack was a- - - TRUNK! So this archetypal British car had a Boot and a Trunk! It also had wings, running boards,quarter lights, dumbells,a bonnet and trafficators. I was told that a camping / tent / awning shop could do the work quite easily and for not a great expense.Also a marine chandlers would know somewhere that could do it, however anything boaty is pricy in the UK. I still believe it could be done this way,although it didn't happen for me. My very recent experience is with replacing a split pvc rear screen in an MGF softop by an MG specialist. Rob I've pondered this one myself, I must admit. Mainly because I've always really hated the look of the standard OE hardtop that is fitted to the later Midgets and Sprites. For some reason in my mind - it just doesn't look 'right', it looks ungainly and an 'afterthought'. However the original BMC and Healey Hardtops for the Frogeye and early MKII Sprites and MK I and II Midgets looks 'right' and elegant. I've never actually sat down and analysed the differences between these hardtops, but the earlier one in my mind just looks 'curvier' and more 'sporty' whereas... MORE

Hi guys As I mentioned, when I got a moment I'd do some pics of the re-chroming I hade done and some of the zinc and yellow passivation. I've uploaded some of these pictures to my folder in the photo's section of the yahoo website - Nigel-71-Midget. I've also uploaded a picture of my grille I recently finished.
