Go to www.mgcars.org.uk, find the Midget and Sprite Club homepage and then go to Market. Also keep an eye on ebay as they quite often come up. jeremy.cogman@... 22721... MORE

Thanks Bob and Allen for the education. Reason I asked is I am looking for a bugeye and saw one that had a 1275 engine with a Weber on it and did not know the pro an cons of them at all. Don "Don May" 22733... MORE

"jack stands" Yeah...we'd like to see you on the list for a while longer, Jeremy....sacrifice to the Spridget God went out with the Crusades...no longer necessary! :) Cap'n. Bob '60 :{) PilotRob@... 22715... MORE

Having installed power windows in multiple LBC's I can tell you there is only one type of power mechanism out there that will fit the door. And that IS NOT INSIDE the door. It's a power 'pod' that attaches on the door panel and drives the original crank handle. "ptegler@cablespeed" 22712... MORE

Has anyone done a diff oil seal change in situ? The haynes makes it sound like a doddle. I figure it will be easier in a way because if you have the rear wheels on ramps then the diff will be kept nice and still to assist undoing the flange nut. What do you think? Early gearboxes on these cars have plain rather than needle bearings on first gear. If you want to keep things original then you can either get the box rebuilt for a few hundred $ (or do it yourself). Or with a few very minor and reversable mods you can fit a so called ribcase (for obvious reasons) box from the later Sprites and Midgets up to '74. Essentially the same box but with a stronger casing and better internals. If you are going to keep the power more or less std and only use it a few thousand miles... MORE

Michael...BTDT....bad feeling...$$$$$$$ How would you like it if basically, you would never have to worry about this again, especially in consideration of today's prices on rebuilt LBC gearboxi? Datsun 210 5 speed: Better ratios, especially for a 948/1098 Better acceleration & better cruise Synchro. on First Very much more quiet running And when and if you do have a problem (not likely), rebuilts are $500 instead of $1.000. Well there are really good reasons to try and get the car down to the level of a 1275 car, one is the centre of gravity is lower, and thus the car will tend to roll less. The cause of the 1500RB cars bad handling (in relative terms!) is not its extra weight although this is a contributory factor, but its 1.5" extra ride height, this I would like to loose. At the front I can't actually see anything different to even my frogeye, so it must be the springs that are different, even if the lower wishbones are... MORE
